Genesis to Provide Obstetrics and Gynecology Services at Hammond-Henry
Three OB/GYNs from Genesis Health Group in Silvis, IL. are now accepting patients for prenatal and gynecological appointments each week at Hammond-Henry Hospital.
On a rotating basis, Iurie Caraman, M.D., Lori Claypool, D.O., and Brian Kilonzo, M.D., will offer clinic hours each Wednesday to patients at the Hammond-Henry Specialty Physicians Center at 600 North College Ave., Suite 110, Geneseo.
Services include prenatal care; deliveries at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis BirthCenter; contraception; pap smears; postpartum care; minimally invasive surgical procedures; gynecology; and, menopausal medicine. In addition, Dr. Caraman performs gynecological procedures using the da Vinci Surgical System.
The BirthCenter at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis is unique in that it offers all LDRP rooms, where women can labor, deliver, recover and receive their postpartum care in the same birthing suite. The Silvis BirthCenter also offers childbirth classes and tours; a neonatal intensive care collaboration with OSF Peoria; and, recently became the first in the Illinois Quad Cities to offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for pain relief during delivery. This year, the BirthCenter received a quality award from the Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative.
