Welcome to our Women’s and Childbirth Center
The obstetrics staff at Hammond-Henry Hospital enjoys every birth and the opportunity to share this exciting time with parents. Our nursing staff is specially trained in the care of women and newborns. Specialized training includes education and certification by the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Heart Association and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrical and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). In addition all nurses are trained to provide advanced monitoring for both mother and baby throughout the labor and delivery process.
Hammond-Henry is part of the North Central Perinatal Region Referral System. Based out of OSF Peoria, this program helps maintain quality and proficiency for Hammond-Henry’s staff. High-risk deliveries are coordinated with the program to provide optimum care through the most experienced perinatologists and neonatologists in Illinois.
Paul Rudy, M.D., is a board-certified family practice physician providing obstetrical services for over twenty years. David Lang, M.D., graduated from Saint Francis Medical Center in obstetrics and gynecology. His office is located within the hospital. Also providing obstetrics services are Kevin Jeffries, M.D., Remi Satkauskas, M.D. and Crystal Snider, M.D. Based out of Kewanee, Galva, and Wyoming these board-certified family practice physicians provide the majority of their deliveries at Hammond-Henry Hospital. Please contact these individual practices for more information about their services.
Our birthing rooms provide a comfortable, homelike setting where you will labor, deliver your baby and recover in the same room. Pain management services that are available during labor include epidural and intrathecal analgesia. The couch converts to a bed so dads can get some rest, too. Each room is private, providing the perfect setting to recover and enjoy your new baby with your family. Your room includes room service dining, WiFi, CD/DVD players and whirlpool tub or walk in shower.
In addition to our maternity and newborn services, we also provide specialty care to women with gynecological problems. Our quiet, private rooms offer the perfect setting in which to recuperate from surgery.
