40 hours per pay period - benefits depend on hours worked.

Job Description

Candidate will:

  • Provide quality athletic training services and to develop strength/conditioning programs under the supervision of the sports medicine program manager
  • Provide efficient care and prevention of athletic injuries during supervision of on-site athletic practices and game competition(s) with contracted customers
  • Assist patients, athletes and their families with efficient entry into the healthcare system for medical treatment and rehabilitation services to expedite safe and efficient return to participation in sports and related physical activity
  • Provide outreach services ranging from, but not limited to, weekly injury screenings at participating locations/high schools, to public speaking and presentations in sports medicine, rehabilitation and sports performance
  • Provide a variety of health care services centered around the unique and individual needs of all customers including patients, significant others, physicians, and other staff; work in multi-disciplinary teams in order to deliver a full range of services and participate in team based continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited school of athletic training
  • Current Athletic Trainer licensure by the State of Illinois
  • Current CSCS certification required
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license
  • Current BLS certification required
