Job Description:  A staff nurse is an RN who is responsible for nursing and supportive care to all patients that come to the Emergency Department.  Must be self-disciplined, able to develop patient rapport, interview hostile patients and recognize and utilize communication unique to diverse multicultural groups and ages within those groups.  Must be able to function independently at an optimum level in an environment that can change at a moments notice.

Qualifications: Valid RN licensure by the State of Illinois. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required.

ECRN and TNCC within one year of employment.
