Once contractors disconnect all utilities, demolition of the circa. 1907 building will begin.  Also slated for removal is patient accounts, medical records, home care, occupational therapy, and the dining rooms of skilled and extended care.  Foot traffic is already being rerouted away from this area which will quickly transform into the new kitchen, dining room and health information management departments.
With the skilled and extended care building vacated and internally demolished during the summer, we have quickly started to rebuild it.  Framing of rooms and hallways, along with the installation of ventilation ductwork is now complete on the second floor.  Electrical and plumbing have made considerable progress.
The third operating room is nearing completion with the delivery this week of the mechanical structure.  All lights, equipment, anesthesia, etc will hang from one main ceiling support.  Completion is approximately one month out.
Thanks for checking up on our progress!
