Ten days ago we started the relocation of departments and services to the new south services building. Social services, home care and information technology moved to their new location on the first floor of the south service building. Environmental services partially moved to their new location, while maintaining a presence in the north part of the hospital. Administration moved on a temporary basis- I am in the future clinical pharmacy, Laura Domino is in the new social services area and Jodie Criswell is in the future materials management area.
The biggest move was the relocation of our therapy departments to their new home on the second floor. Their services were certainly the highlight of the open house last weekend. We received some good coverage from the local television stations on Sunday, as well.
ENTRANCE!
The TEMPORARY entrance for rehab services is the south door to the south services building. Please park in the new south parking lot and enter just east of the big blue trash compactor. No, it's not the nicest view, but it is temporary. We also have some great volunteers helping to direct traffic right inside that door.
Next week, I will talk about future steps and progress we've made to tackle the next phase of the project. It gets challenging...
