This past week the finishing touches were made to the endoscopic suite, in the area previously occupied by Drs. Atwell and Leno.  We have notified the Illinois Department of Public Health and await their arrival and inspection before it can be occupied.  Once we move into the suite, demolition can commence within the current endoscopy room and special procedure room to make way for the new operating room.
Long term care continues to progress very well.  Finish work on the drywall is underway.  Nearly all drywall has been hung.  The previous date for completion was the last week of June.  That has been moved to the first of June, of course pending IDPH's inspection.
Despite the weather challenges of the past week, bricklayers accomplished quite a bit, finishing the south and west walls on the second floor of the south service building as pictured below.

The exterior of long term care is beginning to take shape with brick accents that tie into the existing and new hospital buildings.  The horizontal plankings and tiles are concrete as shown below.
