Job Description Summary:
Performs a variety of Mammography procedures that require independent judgment and initiative during the hours assigned. The mammographer will also be the intermediary coordinator and responsible for all functions between Hammond-Henry Hospital and the Radiologist will arrange for films and reports to be transferred with the patient, if necessary. The mammographer will be responsible for all QA and governmental guidelines for the department, along with the Imaging Manager. Works closely with the Imaging staff, physicians, nursing staff, patients and their families. Access to information is limited to minimum necessary to perform the duties of the job.
Qualifications:
- Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology-training course in the A.N.A. approved school
- Meets requirements for registry by ARRT
- Registered in the State of Illinois
- Current BLS certification required
