HAMMOND-HENRY HOSPITAL OPENS NEW ENTRY FOR EMERGENCY PATIENTS

October 9, 2019

Over the past 9 months, Hammond-Henry Hospital (HHH) has been renovating the current footprint of the emergency department. Because of the 24/7 nature of this space, during construction, the emergency department was split in two - one half in construction, the other half operational. With approval of the Illinois Department of Health (IDPH) the first half of the project is completed. The renovated space of the emergency department is now open. Patients seeking emergency care will now present through the main entrance of the hospital.

With the first half of the project finished, the second half can begin. Demolition in the east side of the emergency department has started. During the renovation of this space, all ambulance traffic will route through the main entrance. Ambulance traffic will return to the east bay when the project is fully completed by year end. We appreciate your support and patience and look forward to the finished product.
