Colo Aquatic Center

The aquatic center showcases the HydroWorx 2000 pool with state-of-the-art technology. It is the only HydroWorx 2000 located between Iowa City and Chicago. The 8 X 12 warm water pool features a vertically moving adjustable floor, variable speed underwater treadmill, hydro massage system, and resistance jet. The vertically moving floor allows patients to safely enter the water with no steps or ladders. The underwater treadmill allows patients and athletes to simulate walking mechanics and exercise virtually pain free, progressing with their therapeutic goals at an advanced pace. The buoyancy of the water eliminates the fear of falling and re-injury, while the treadmill provides resistance for range of motion exercises. The hydro massage system allows deep therapeutic massage or light massage for sore aching muscles. The resistance jet allows a medium for range of motion exercises, building strength, and endurance. This new program was made possible by the generous gift of Larry and Norma Colo of rural Geneseo.
