Job Description Summary: An Emergency Department manager is an RN responsible for direction and supervision of all personnel within the department and is responsible for direct and indirect care of the patient while in the department and when transporting to an ancillary department. The Emergency Department manager is also responsible for the operational and financial activities within the department. Works closely with all members of the professional team, medical staff, patients and patient’s families and all department of the hospital. Good public relations are essential at all times. Access to information is limited to minimum necessary to perform the duties of the job.

Qualifications: Current license from the state of Illinois is required. BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNS or TNCC, ECRN course completion within 6 months of hire date. Bachelors degree preferred,
