On The Move

What is On The Move?

On the move is a group exercise program for individuals who desire a weight management program and wish to pursue a healthy lifestyle. The program provides the professional guidance of a physical therapist and other health professionals and is designed to guide the client in participation in safe and effective physical activity and exercise.

Each one-hour exercise class is taught Monday and Wednesday evenings at 5:00pm by our healthcare professionals for twelve weeks. The program includes an individualized assessment, collaborative goal setting, individualized exercise instruction during group exercise sessions that address all components of physical fitness and musculoskeletal health.

You will be asked to seek medical clearance from your physician to enroll in this program.

Sessions are overseen by professionally licensed physical therapists and exercise specialists with the training and experience to carefully design your path to fitness. Physical therapists perform individualized assessments to determine your current flexibility, strength, endurance and balance.

The cost of the 12 week program is $275.00. For an appointment or additional information please call the Rehab Department at 309-944-9150. A $50 non-refundable fee will be charged at the time of pre-testing.

Meet Our Staff

Jane Janicki PT, MS is a graduate of the University of Iowa receiving her BS in Exercise Science and her MS in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Jane has been practicing since January 2003 in Outpatient Physical Therapy with specialty interest in orthopedics and vestibular rehabilitation. She received her certificate of competency in Vestibular Rehabilitation. Jane has been employed at Hammond-Henry Hospital since April 2007.

Shari Shannon, CPT is a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer with over 20 years of experience in the field. She has been involved in programming as a Fitness Coordinator, Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. Shari’s specialty and interests are in cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab outpatient physical rehabilitation adult and geriatric fitness training. Shari has been employed at Hammond-Henry Hospital since August 2006.
