The Hammond-Henry Hospital Foundation recently received an estate gift in the amount of $126,633 from the Lester Goebert living trust. The Foundation’s board of directors voted to use the funds to establish a goal for its endowment fund. “We’re coming off a very successful capital campaign,” said Steve Emmerson, chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. “Now it’s time for us to focus on building a fund that will continue to give back for years to come.” The goal of the Foundation Board is to build the endowment to $1 million. “This generous gift gets us over one fourth of the way there,” said Darcy Hepner, Foundation Manager. Upon reaching this goal, the interest from this endowment fund will be used to support new equipment and special projects for Hammond-Henry Hospital.
