We began to occupy our new building earlier today. Once we received approval, information technology sprang into action and relocated their offices. All of our servers had been relocated several months ago. Also, social services moved to their new location earlier today. Tomorrow, Friday, home care will relocate. Tony DeLaney, our plant operations manager, should be completely moved as well. Next Tuesday we will only see therapy patients in the morning. In the afternoon, physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy will relocate to their new space on the second floor of the new south services building. Cardiac rehab will not move until Thursday, when the representative from the cardiac monitoring system will be on site to move that equipment.
Temporary relocations begin tomorrow as well. Health information management (medical records) has begun to move into the area that was occupied by information technology. Administration relocates on Monday to the new pharmacy space. Pharmacy will remain until the project is complete, and the buildings are joined together. Foundation offices move next Thursday to the social services area; patient accounts won't move until next Friday when cardiac rehab vacates their space. Quality management and education will move to the current home care offices.
Demolition of these middle offices will begin once asbestos abatement is completed within the next few weeks.
Lots of activity! Stay tuned for more.
